水泵轴承常常配置自动补油泵，当轴承室的油位低时，油杯中的油自动补充到轴承室中去，对于日常维护很方便，但是油杯使用不当经常会出现莫名奇妙的滴漏现象，油杯中的油也会很快漏光，地面也会出现一滩油迹。

分析油杯的泄露原因，我们先来了解一下油杯工作的基本原理，油杯下方是有一个斜口状的管子，轴承室的液位低于斜口时，空气会进入到油杯中，油杯中会出现冒泡现象，油会向下流补充到轴承室中，将斜口封住在油里，空气就不会再进入到油杯中，油杯液位保持不变。

泄露原因主要有两方面，其一轴承室油位过高，泵在运行中会轴承温度高会将空气加热，膨胀的空气会将油赶出来，其二透明油杯与杯托间存在密封不好的情况，有时候密封垫处含有砂砾颗粒会影响密封不严，油杯与杯托没有旋紧。
